Negotiation outcome Collective Labour Agreement Research Institutes 2024 - 2025

The WVOI and employee organizations FNV, CNV and AOb reached a negotiation outcome on 27 June 2024 on a new Collective Labour Agreement Research Institutes (CAO-OI). The most important agreements made are stated below.

• The collective labor agreement runs from 1 July 2024 to 30 September 2025.
• The amounts in the salary scales will be structurally increased by 3.7 percent as of 1 September 2024. In addition, every employee employed on 1 September 2024 will receive a one-off payment of € 150 gross, whereby this payment is calculated according to the extent of the employment contract and the number of months that the employee is employed in the period from 1 July 2024 to 31 August 2024.
• The amounts in the salary scales will be structurally increased by 2.9 percent as of 1 January 2025.
• Employees in scales above scale 10 also receive compensation for accessibility and availability services. They will also be entitled to the compensation as it currently applies in the table in Article 3.7, paragraph 3 of the collective labor agreement.
• For the duration of this collective labor agreement, an agreement has been made that an employee who becomes a member of one of the employee organizations involved in the collective labor agreement in September (trade union month), will receive € 100.00 of the first annual contribution reimbursed by the employer.
• The parties wish to offer all employees a financial consultation once every five years with providers to be determined by the parties, so that employees who need it are advised in making financial choices at different stages of their lives.
• The parties are conducting a study into workload that includes the theme of inaccessibility outside working hours.

The employee organizations will submit the negotiation outcome to their members and will announce no later than 19 July, whether this negotiation outcome is a final collective labor agreement. Employers submit the negotiation outcome to their boards for approval.
