Negotiations agreement collective labour agreement 2022-2023
The Employers' Association for Research Institutes (WVOI) and employees' organisations FNV, CNV Onderwijs and AOb reached a negotiators' agreement on 5 July 2022 for the new Collective Labour Agreement Research Institutions (CAO-OI).
The most important agreements made are stated below:
- The CAO-OI will run from 1 January 2022 to 30 June 2023.
- The amounts in the salary scales will be structurally increased by 4 percent with effect from 1 August 2022. In addition, every employee employed on 1 August 2022 will receive a one-off payment of 1.050 euros before tax, whereby this payment will be calculated according to the size of the contract and the number of months that the employee was employed in the period 1 January to 31 July 2022.
- The amounts in the salary scales will be structurally increased by 2 percent on 1 January 2023.
- The CAO-OI article 'Parental leave with partial retention of remuneration' will be improved with effect from 1 August 2022. Over the period of 13 weeks of parental leave with partial retention of remuneration during the child's first year of life, 70 percent of the salary will still be paid whereas, previously this was 55 percent.
The employee organisations will submit this negotiators' agreement with a positive recommendation to their members and will announce no later than 21 July whether this negotiators' agreement is a final collective labour agreement. The employers will submit the negotiated agreement to their boards.
