ERG Cultural Diversity
The recently established NWO/NWO-I Employee Resource Group (ERG) on Cultural Diversity invites all employees interested in cultural diversity to join!
What is cultural diversity and why does it matter?
Cultural diversity makes us unique– it is our backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. It’s not just about visible traits like skin color, clothing, or hair, but also the invisible experiences that shape who we are. This diversity of identity and experience is a fact, but inclusion is a choice–one we can make together every day to create a workplace where cultural richness is celebrated and everyone can reach their full potential, from individuals to teams and the organization as a whole.
To help facilitate this we focus on four main pillars:
- Building a professional network for colleagues of diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Empowering and encouraging colleagues to bring their authentic selves to work.
- Raising awareness about cultural diversity and cross-cultural competence through interesting events and lectures.
- Promoting systemic change within the equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) policy of NWO/NWO-I.
