Esther Jansen wins ERG Neurodiversity design competition (October 2025)
This summer, the NWO/NWO-I Employee Resource Group (ERG) Neurodiversity organised a button badge design competition with the assignment 'How does my brain feel today?'. To our delight, we received beautiful and thoughtful designs from virtually every corner of NWO-D, the NWO Institutes and the NWO-I office. In total, we received almost 80 entries!

On Neurodiversity Pride Day (Monday 16 June 2025), the NWO/NWO-I Employee Resource Group (ERG) Neurodiversity invites you to celebrate with us that all brains are different. At a meet and greet on 16 June at NWO The Hague, Nikhef Amsterdam & NWO Utrecht, we invite everyone with a question or story about neurodiversity to come and talk to us. Additionally, we’re organizing a design competition around the theme: “How does my brain feel today?”.

NWO/NWO-I celebrates Coming Out Day 2024 (11 October 2024)
Friday 11 October is Coming Out Day, a day to devote attention to the moment that people open up about his/her/their sexual orientation or gender identity: their coming out of the closet, or their coming out. Event ‘Embracing Diverse Minds –Neurodiversity and Mental Health’ (24 October 2024)
Mental health is crucial for the well-being of individuals, both in the workplace and in educational settings. Unfortunately, stigma surrounding psychological issues often prevents many people from receiving the help and support they need. During the ‘Embracing Diverse Minds- Neurodiversity and Mental Health’ event on Thursday 24 October 2024, we aim to break down these barriers and foster an open dialogue about mental health and neurodiversity. We will explore how to create an inclusive environment where people feel safe to share their challenges and seek support. Neurodiversity at work: ten lunchtime takeaways (2024)
On Tuesday, 18 June, from 12:00 to 13:00 hours, the online lunchtime lecture “Neurodiversity at Work” took place for NWO/NWO-I employees. It was organised in the context of Neurodiversity Pride Day on 16 June. This lecture focused on experiences with neurodiversity at work and provided practical tips to make work more neuro-inclusive. Successful LGBTIQA+ event examines role of ERGs for more inclusion at NWO/NWO-I (2024)
