The agreements were made under the pressure of the continuing economic difficulties. During the collective labour agreement negotiations, the employers stated that a salary increase would be at the expense of jobs and they emphasised their commitment to employment opportunities. This has resulted in the job security agreement for 2013 in combination with a freeze on salaries.
The trade unions will now submit the agreement concluded to their members. The agreement will only be ratified if the members approve it. The trade unions will give a decisive answer by 18 June at the latest.
