On this page you will find on the left side links to NWO-I-wide themes in which all NWO institutes are closely involved, such as Open Access, Recognition and Rewards, and the NWO-I Digital Competence Center.

Open Access

NWO-I is committed to hundred percent Open Access. Therefore, NWO-I wants all publications written (in part) by employees of NWO-I to be directly Open Access at the time of publication. NWO-I accepts different routes to Open Access.

Recognition & Rewards

With the Recognition & Rewards project, we aim to ensure that our institutes are places where all our staff can excel across broad range of academic careers and where they receive recognition and appreciation for all their achievements. In the coming period we will be working on an action plan based on 5 spearheads: Research, Impact, Education, Leadership and the National role

NWO-I Digital Competence Center

NWO-I DCC is the Digital Competence Center for all NWO-I institutes. We give advice and practical support to researchers, data stewards, and software engineers of the NWO Institutes to publish their results, data, and research software in an open and sustainable way.

Privacy, knowledge safety and information security

Knowledge safety is about unwanted transfer of sensitive knowledge and technology that affects our country's national security or competitiveness (unnecessarily undesirably or too seriously). In addition, knowledge safety is about covert influence of education and research by other states. Such interference endangers academic freedom and social security at research institutions.
