If your personal circumstances change, an important question is what this means for your wallet. For example, if you want to work fewer or more hours, or if something changes in your life, such as moving house, having a baby or doing a study, this will affect your financial situation. To get a better grip on this, as an employee of NWO-I you can request a free financial consultation. 

A personal financial consultation will provide you with:  

• more insight into your financial situation and financial fitness;  

• more control over your financial affairs;  

• a better overview of the options available in your personal situation. These could include working more or fewer hours, starting a course, providing informal care or taking early retirement. 

Who is this scheme for? 

NWO and NWO-I, together with the Royal Library (KB), are covered by the Collective Labour Agreement Research Institutes (CAO-OI). The parties to the collective labour agreement have agreed to offer employees of these three parties the opportunity to receive free personal financial advice. 

Availability of consultations 

Do you work at NWO-I and have you been employed for at least one year? From 1 July 2025 to 31 December 2029, an average of 100 financial consultations will be available each year for the three employers (NWO-I, NWO and KB) combined. Only consultations requested in good time are covered by this service: once the available budget has been exhausted, no further consultations can be offered.
